Michael and Lisa Carr, with Michael Carr Photography, recently photographed this family portrait in The Woodlands, TX. We were honored when this client called to us and asked us to be her family portrait photographer.
There is a wonderful story behind these portraits we are sharing with you. This is an example of one of our clients that has gone through a life cycle with us! About 20 years ago, we photographed the parents shown in this family portrait. We photographed their wedding, and Traci’s bridal portrait. We loved getting to know both families during this milestone in their lives.
We spoke with Traci over the phone earlier this year and she wanted us to photograph her daughter’s senior portraits. We suggested that in addition to her daughter’s senior portrait session, why not have a family portrait session at the same time. Traci loved this idea. She said it had been a long time since she had a real family portrait. Plus with her daughter leaving for college soon, she wanted us to capture her family together during this stage in life. I will share Madison’s senior portraits and that story in another post.
During this family portrait in The Woodlands, TX we were also able to capture their children in a portrait as well. During our phone consultation, and with technology, we were able to plan clothing for the family portrait. We wanted to make sure everyone felt comfortable in their outfits and the portrait conveyed their personality.
